Yoga and pure joy of life against a backdrop steeped in history
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the square in front of Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate will be transformed into a huge open-air yoga oasis. The Indian Embassy, the “Tagore Center,” and the “Art of Living” organization invite everyone (ages 6 and up) to celebrate International Yoga Day with a powerful group yoga session.
From 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., participants can look forward to a thoroughly inspiring program that connects body and mind. Experts will guide everyone through group exercises, followed by meditation and atmospheric live music. The theme of the day is inner peace, harmony, and global unity—perfect even for those new to yoga.
"International Yoga Day," first proclaimed by the United Nations in 2014, is observed annually on June 21 to recognize yoga's lasting contribution to physical health, mental well-being, and a holistic lifestyle.
Info: If you’d like to attend this unforgettable event, be sure to register soon to secure your spot. Please bring your own yoga mat or blanket, a water bottle, and plenty of sunscreen for a sunny day. The organizers recommend loose, comfortable clothing and, if possible, a white T-shirt to complement the overall look. - Registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/yoga-at-brandenburg-gate-special-invites-idy2026-tickets-1991195167347?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true
